Less Waste with Plant-based Cat Litter

How can we take action to protect the environment and avoid waste in a simple way? The J. Rettenmaier & Söhne (JRS) Group and Dr. André Baumann, State Secretary at the Stuttgart Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector, held their first meeting on this topic at the beginning of the year. This was followed by a return visit to the JRS headquarters in Rosenberg-Holzmühle. State Secretary Dr. Baumann was accompanied by Green politicians from the region: Mayor Grab from Ellwangen, Unterschneidheim Mayor Joas, Member of the State Parliament Martin Grath, district chairmen Ulrike Richter and Alexander Asbrock as well as Green Party district councillors Gabriele Ceferino and Hubert Thalheimer were also interested in getting to know the "green" JRS plant fiber technology and its versatile fields of application on site.

In his welcoming address, Elmar Schmid expressed the JRS management's desire to raise awareness of the huge waste-saving potential in the disposal of cat litter. He is convinced: "One of the many areas in which JRS can provide answers to the challenges of modern daily life with its future technology based on plant-based raw materials".
